The plantation forestry industry in the NT is in its relative infancy, with most current investment being in short rotation hardwood plantations on the Tiwi Islands north of Darwin.
With the recently completed Codes of Practice for Plantation Forestry, the legislative and regulatory environment for plantation forestry in the NT will become clearer for investors.
